3 Walters, Charles
1911-1982Bailarin en Broadway, Charles Walters es un hombre del musical, y a el dedica sus mejores esfuerzos profesionales como coreografo y realizador. Debuta en Hollywood como coreografo de la pelicula RKO Siete noches en Nueva York (Seven Days Leave, Tim Whe lan, 1942). De inmediato, es contratado por Metro- Goldwyn-Mayer para coreografiar, por ejemplo, Meet Me in St. Louis (Vincente Minnelli, 1944), hasta que, en 1947, tiene ocasion de dirigir Good News. Sus mejores y mas populares peliculas, como Easter Parade (1948) y Lili (1952), son musicales e, incluso, los dos westerns que figuran aqui, uno de ellos rodado en colaboracion y acreditado como obra de George Sidney, son tambien musicales. En 1966 dice adios al cine, y a la Metro, con la produccion Columbia Apartamento para tres (Walk, Don’t Run), en esta ocasion una comedia. Despues, solo hara algunas cosas para television, particularmente con Lucille Ball.Annie Get Your Gun (La reina del Oeste) (co-d.: Busby Berkeley, George Sidney). 1950. 107 minutos. Technicolor. MGM.
